Dr. David Levine became a physical therapist in 1986 after attending the University of New England. He went on to complete postgraduate work in orthopedics and exercise science at Boston University and the University of Tennessee, where he earned his Ph.D. in 1994. A professor at UTC and an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Levine has been a leader in animal physical rehabilitation since 1993. He has co-edited several veterinary books, including Canine Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy and Essential Facts of Physiotherapy in Dogs and Cats.

Dr. Levine has been married to his wife, Allison, for 25 years, and they have four children, two dogs, and three cats. His hobbies include boating and exercising.
