Dr. Thomas Burdette, DVM

Dr. Tommy Burdette grew up in West Virginia and served in the US Air Force before deciding to become a veterinarian. In 2021, he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University. After receiving a veterinary scholarship with the U.S. Army, he completed a one-year military internship in Georgia before being stationed at the Holland Veterinary Hospital in San Antonio, exclusively seeing military working dogs. Dr. Burdette was later selected for a surgical internship and residency at VCSG.

Outside of work, he enjoys keeping saltwater reef tanks and spending time his wife, Karen, daughter Abigail, and their dogs, Fix and Taco.
