Theresa Hess, DVM, DACVS-SA

Dr. Theresa Hess grew up in New Jersey and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2011. She then completed a one-year private practice internship at Oradell Animal Hospital in New Jersey, followed by a one-year surgical internship in Las Vegas. She remained in Las Vegas to complete a three-year surgical residency, where she had the opportunity to operate on exotic species, including lions, capybaras, a camel, a fox, and a sugar glider.

Dr. Hess’s surgical interests include thoracic and abdominal procedures, surgical oncology, neurosurgery, wound management, and regenerative medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Hess enjoys playing basketball, volleyball, and tennis, as well as spending time outdoors. A former collegiate basketball player at McDaniel College, she made three NCAA tournament appearances, including reaching the Sweet Sixteen. She shares her home with two beloved Labrador Retrievers.
