Dr. Christiane Massicotte earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Montreal in 1994 before completing an internship at the University of Minnesota and a neurology residency at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She simultaneously earned a master’s degree in neurotoxicology, followed by a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. After obtaining board certification in neurology, she served as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania and has led the neurology/neurosurgery department at Animal Emergency and Referral Associates in Fairfield, NJ, since 2005.
Dr. Massicotte enjoys life on a farm, taking long walks with her collies, Maestro and Chopin, riding her mares, Stella and Amber Moon, and starting her mornings with coffee and Figaro, her bird. She also holds a black belt in Taekwondo.
