Dr. Jeffrey Peck grew up in South Florida and earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida before attending Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. He completed a surgical residency at Iowa State University in 1996 and later served as a clinical instructor at the University of Missouri.
For 23 years, Dr. Peck was a staff surgeon at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Maitland, Florida, where he also served as the surgical residency program director. He has been deeply involved with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS), serving as both President and Chair of the Board. His primary area of research is joint replacement surgery, a field in which he has published numerous articles and a textbook.
Dr. Peck is a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves and was transferred to the Individual Ready Reserve in 2021. He is married to Kathy, his high school sweetheart, and they have a daughter, Kayla. Their family includes three dogs: two pugs (Asha and Peaches) and a Boston Terrier (Juno). In his spare time, Dr. Peck enjoys woodworking and long-distance running—he has completed 17 marathons!
