Dr. Wayne Zuvers earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in 1999 after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness and Environmental Resources from Arizona State University. Before veterinary school, he worked as a public health chemist for the State of Arizona.
With over 21 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Dr. Zuvers has focused on emergency and critical care, serving as the Medical Director at Northwest Georgia Veterinary Emergency Center in Rome. His special interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and snake envenomations. He also works with the City of Surprise Fire Department in Crisis Response.
Dr. Zuvers is currently single with four children. Although he doesn’t currently have any pets of his own, he enjoys getting his “fill” by caring for the patients he treats at VCSG. He enjoys horseback riding, hiking, watching movies, and collecting Al Hirschfeld lithographs and Star Wars memorabilia.
