Dr. Cryer grew up in Texas and studied his undergraduate years at Arizona State University and Texas A&M. Prior to veterinary school, he worked as an assistant in general practice, ER hospital, and Texas A&M University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital in the anesthesia department. Throughout veterinary school at Texas A&M University, he underwent multiple clinical externships in preclinical research, wildlife epidemiology, wildlife rehabilitation, and pain management. Upon completing veterinary school in 2019, Dr. Cryer completed a rotating internship at VCA RIVER followed by a residency in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia at the University of Illinois.
